Last night I glanced at the night sky, it was a clear night, stars studded the velvet tapestry of heaven. . .exquisite. . .
As I looked I began to be astounded at the power of GOD.
Many times I have sung, ‘how great is our GOD’. . .
But gazing at the stars I realised that I had under estimated the power of GOD!.
You see there are millions of stars, each one is a force in itself, brilliant cosmic power.
Each planet is gigantic in mass and in beauty
And all are created by GOD
My mind began to race . . .what about the sun!. . .So I googled ‘what is the sun’ here’s googles response. . .:
“The Sun is currently traveling through the Local Interstellar Cloud in the Local Bubble zone, within the inner rim of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. Of the 50 nearest stellar systems within 17 light-years from Earth (the closest being a red dwarf named Proxima Centauri at approximately 4.2 light years away), the Sun ranks fourth in mass.
The Sun orbits the centre of the Milky Way at a distance of approximately 24,000–26,000 light years from the galactic centre, completing one clockwise orbit, as viewed from the galactic north pole, in about 225–250 million years.
I couldn’t understand all the jargon, but the bits I could grasp, made me proud of my DAD’s creativity, because HE made that.
Then there is DNA!. . .scientist marvel at its complexity, and are discovering new uses and new strands!. . .
It gives me goosebumps just thinking that, my DAD made that!
Even the life span of each species is determined by GOD, there existence and their extinction, we try to prolong the life of creatures nearing their end, and commendable works are completed, but only GOD can give life, I guess it’s a bit like when I cook a roast!, it looks splendid, but it’s my creation and I determine how long it’s going to last, in most cases not very long!
Power!. . . ‘remember that song!. . .’He’s got the whole world in HIS hands!”. . .its true!. . .our GOD literally has the whole world in HIS hands
. . .I have to go and pray now!. . .I have just realised that my prayers haven’t been ‘big’ enough!. . .
. . .my DAD is able to do far more than I have been asking for, and far more than I could ever have imagined. . .
