It’s been a while since we chatted and I have often wondered how you are.
The froth on my vending machine coffee is disintegrating, and the edge of my crisp is fighting to delve into the vacant void where my recently excavated tooth once lived.
Outside the rain has reduced to a gentle drizzle and the air is crisp.
I have often sat and wondered what your up to, how your days have been filled, and wether your doing ok.
I’m hoping that your days are exciting and that you, from time to time, have pondered over the many conversations we have had about heaven and about living life to the max. . .But more than that, I hope you have, from time to time, wondered about the man I have talked about, the man called Jesus.
This week will be my third trip to the dentist. Theres one more tooth waiting to be wrenched from a layer of succulent flesh, then my gums will be fitted with a set of L.A white enamel dentures.
I’m contemplating which vessel I should place beside my bed, ready to place my acrylic teeth into each night, just before the effervescent sounds of a denture tablet fill the silence within my room.
. . .(fascinating)
Do you remember how we used to talk about having ‘life in all its fullness?’. . .how, regardless of how wicked we might have been, intentionally or unintentionally, God was and still is wanting to forgive and create a new start for whoever believes in Him. . . Do you remember?
I’m hoping you do remember and I’m hoping that your nearer to making that life changing decision and that the day is almost here when I can truly call you my brother and welcome you into the biggest family there is.
Anyway’s. . .
You know that you mean a great deal to me, and I know that eternity won’t be the same without you, so, would you, the next time the rain quietens to a drizzle where you are, would you also ponder over the conversations we have had, about Jesus, about God and about forgiveness.
And then would you ask yourself, “am I ready”. Am I ready to become a believer, a follower of Jesus. . .
I have now consumed my crisps, likewise my coffee is no more and the drone of the vending machine is beginning to make me feel nauseous.
So, I’m now going to enjoy the short walk that lies ahead of me, and I am also going to enjoy experiencing the cool drizzle of the night.
You take care of yourself, stay safe, and be strong and courageous in all that you do. . .In fact, be strong and very, very courageous in all that you do.
From me to you. . .’much love’
